Does my image get uploaded anywhere? No. It's read locally and rendered in your browser — turn off your wifi after the page loads and it still works.
What aspect ratios does it cover? The common commercial-digital set: 1:1, 4:5, 3:4 (Instagram's 2026 grid/feed size), 9:16, 16:9, 1.91:1 and 2:3 — or add your own. See the Platform cheat-sheet above for the current recommended pixel sizes.
What are the red bands? Approximate platform UI safe-zones (where captions, profile info and buttons sit on Stories/Reels). Keep your subject out of them.
What files can I load, and what do exports come out as? Load JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC (iPhone HEIC files are converted automatically). Exports come out as JPG by default — the right choice for photos, since it's far smaller and every platform re-compresses to JPG anyway — or switch the Format menu to PNG if you want lossless (larger files, best for graphics or text).
What does “upsampling” mean on a frame? It means you've zoomed in past the actual pixels in your file, so that crop has to be enlarged and will look a little soft. Zoom back until it reads “full resolution,” or start from a higher-resolution file.
Can I do a whole shoot at once? Yes — drop in up to 15 images. Use the filmstrip to move between them; each photo remembers its own framing on every crop, so nothing resets when you cycle back. Exporting more than 8 files bundles everything into a single ZIP, one folder per image, because browsers block long runs of individual downloads.
